Computers Hadley Climatic Research Centre gehacked, gevoelige info vrijgegeven

Een hacker heeft afgelopen donderdag 1079 emails en 72 documenten van computers van het Hadley Climatic Research Centre gehaald en op een Russische ftp-server gezet.
De bestanden lijken gevoelige informatie te bevatten, die, als de info echt is, de schrijvers ervan in verlegenheid kan brengen. Onder de schrijvers is namelijk een aantal vooraanstaande Global Warming-aanhangers.

Het instituut heeft inmiddels toegegeven dat haar computers zijn gehacked.

1 van de emails gaat over de beroemde 'hockeystick'-grafiek:

"I've just completed Mike's Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from 1961 for Keith's to hide the decline. Mike's series got the annual land and marine values while the other two got April-Sept for NH land N of 20N. The latter two are real for 1999, while the estimate for 1999 for NH combined is +0.44C wrt 61-90. The Global estimate for 1999 with data through Oct is +0.35C cf. 0.57 for 1998."


1 van de documenten is een pdf van 5 pagina's, "The Rules of the Game" genaamd. Een soort handleiding over hoe de 'global warming' boodschap aan de man te brengen.

Tja, als ze zelf defacto toegeven dat ze fout zitten (waar is dat ge coverup anders voor nodig?) dan is de discussie 'global warming' wel redelijk voorbij dunkt me. Fraud!

Daar ga je met je "peer reviewed science" :D

In principe is de Climate Research Unit een betrouwbaar instituut.
Maar met statistiek kun je heel veel sjoemelen.
Het zal nog wel even duren voordat anderen de berg cijfers hebben doorgespit en gaan publiceren of de Climate Research Unit heeft gesjoemeld.

endeth here. The option (like all the anomdtb options) is totally
undocumented so we'll never know what we lost.
