However I approached this groyne for a second time, because I was slightly dissatisfied with the conditions in the previous shot and wanted to a secure a more emotive image. <br /> The conditions were as close to perfect as I could have wished for. There was an exceptionally heavy storm filled sky and you could even see the heavy patches of rainfall moving across the horizon. The wind was bitter and strong, wiping up a substantial swell that pounded the beach creating this very long foam trail. There was also a remarkable sunset and unusually I was facing to the north east, not west, so the sun was hitting the clouds from behind me, producing a different feel to one that I’m use to. The colour was indeed phenomenal and I wonder if the sunlight was being defused by the conditions producing such an extensive range of colour in this shot. <br /> <br /> Anyway to me this shot feels very different to the last one and it’s a timely reminder that things change. I wonder if I like this shot so much because there is only one static thing in this entire vista and ironically the solitary groyne is humanities way of atempting to stop change.</p>
